The Navajo and Blackfoot
Blackfoot
    Heres a little info about the Blackfoot. They were one of the oldest Plains People. They also lived on the Plains for about 4,000 years before the arrival of the "White Men". Legend says that one day the Blackfoot people walked across a burnt down prarie. The ash turned their moccasins black.Thats how they got thier got thier name "Blackfoot".

Navajo
    Heres a little info about the Navajo. They called themselves Dine which translates to "The People". The Navajo people lived in houses called hogans. Hogans were made out of wooden poles and covered in bark and mud. The Navajo didn't live in villages but in small family groups. The women owned the property and past it down from mother to daughter. When a Navajo man married he moved into his wife's house.
